Finding Place : On Paper

Created alongside the canvas works during the Ilkley studio residency, works on paper offered a more immediate exploration of memory and materiality. Through layered application, washes and subtle interventions, each piece evolved intuitively, holding onto traces of earlier gestures while allowing new forms to emerge.
